Wemos D1 Mini V3.0 3.0 Wireless WIFI Internet of Things Development Board

     This Wemos D1 mini V3 is basically a handy breakout board of the ESP8266 chip. The CH340 USB to serial converter makes it easy to program, even as an Arduino. The board has a micro USB connection with which it can be programmed and/or powered. (micro USB cable not included). This board has the ESP8266 chip with 4MB flash memory. This third version of the D1 Mini has a slightly improved circuit board including a mounting hole (2mm) and a possibility to connect the deepsleep pin directly (solder bridge) with the reset pin. The pins on the board are directly connected to the ESP8266 chip and are therefore only suitable for 3.3V signals.

     Wemos D1 mini is like a "little Arduino with wifi" for a great price. It%27s based around the ESP8266, has one analogue port and 11 digital ports. It%27s programmed via micro-USB (or remote flash via wifi). You can use it with the Arduino IDE, micropython or NodeMCU.

• It runs from 5V or 3.3V. Logic levels are 3.3V for all ports.
• If you use the Arduino IDE, there are a lot of example sketches already provided. This makes life relatively easy to be able to do what you want.
• I use these to read temperatures in various locations and send the data to a Raspberry Pi  web server via wifi.
• They work well with TMP36, DS18B20, RasPiO InsPiRing RGB LEDs, PIR motion sensors, BME280 barometric pressure/temperature/humidity sensors
